Emily Mitchell Ayers, PhD is an ecological engineer with a decade of professional experience in sustainable stormwater management, and climate change communication. Her leadership in app development takes production from style guides and wireframes though prototypes, troubleshoots, and deployment.
Beth Wangaard, PE
Senior Engineer/Project Manager
Beth Wangaard is a professional civil engineer, registered in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. She has over 16+ years of project manager and engineering experience supporting private and public clients on re/development routinely navigating complex regulatory requirements. From feasibility assessments through construction documents, Beth’s urban infrastructure design work is innovative and balanced. She brings a meticulous focus to coordination to ensure project objectives and schedules are met.
Janaye Dorsey Riley
Environmental Scientist
Janaye Dorsey-Riley is an environmental scientist. She leads community engagement efforts that span environmental incentive programs administration, pollution prevention assistance, and science education. Janaye is a frequent contributor to Green Infrastructure design. Her emerging understanding of DC’s unique stormwater regulatory process makes her an ideal communicator during the community consensus design process.
Andrew T. Whaley, PE
Engineer
Andy Whaley is a professional civil engineer, registered in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. His work emphasizes project timeliness and constructability. Andy has ten years of US Army service as a construction manager and logistic engineer officer. In the private sector, his stormwater management experiences range from H&H analysis, design of Green Infrastructure, permitting, scheduling, to oversite of construction and long-term stormwater facility maintenance. Andy is Rosgen Level 1 trained with experience in step pool and natural channel design, and construction QA/QC for stream restoration installations.
Mark Solomon
ADMINISTRATOR
Mark Solomon is Designgreen’s Company Administrator. He is responsible for Office and Accounts Management, Human Resources, and handles all legal matters as an officer of the company.
